Chris Dickens and his wife Holly came to First Baptist with many years of ministry experience. Chris received his Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies from Faith Christian Bible College in 1999. He has been involved in youth ministry for 18 years and has also helped with the music programs of his previous churches.
Holly has worked with kids and youth off and on since she was 16 years old by leading classes, teaching/organizing VBS, and helping to arrange youth activities. Together, they bring this experience, their love for the Lord, and their willingness to serve to First Baptist in hopes of reaching our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Debbie Howes has been a member of First Baptist since 2011. She is Widowed and lives with her 2 dogs, Glacier and Cinnamon. Debbie has 1 son, 1 stepdaughter and 7 grandchildren. Debbie works for MCC Nashville, a total office communication company that deal with copies, mailing machines, CCTV, and security.
Sharon joined First Baptist in 2012. Sharon is in the church choir and helps out as a Sunday School teacher. What God calls you so – He will equip you to do. Best advice from the pastor – Don’t go into the class as a teacher, but to learn with him.

LeNard Simmons became Ordained March 3, 2016, and a member to FBC of Hermitage in May 2018. He believes in connecting with the community by offering assistance and sound advice. LeNard owns and operates a website development company and is capable of understanding several programming languages.

Ladies’ Bible Study
Romelle Henry is a Christian, mother of two adult sons, and grandmother of eight. She retired in 2009 after a 38 – year career in public education. She loves when folks gather to open God’s Word to learn more about Him.
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
LeNard will be helping 3rd-5th grades learn about the Lord and build their Christian faith. Formerly a volunteer of the Salvation Army Disaster Emergency Relief Team (D.I.R.T), he has helped in the reconstruction and natural disaster assistance of Homestead, Florida due to the effects of Hurricane Andrew making landfall, on August 24, 1992.
